Innovation is the process of taking an idea and putting it into practice. We need to differentiate it from creativity. The latter, although inseparable from innovation, is what you do in your head to generate the idea, an idea that meets three criteria: it must be new, useful and surprising.
How to generate innovation?
Most people think that the way you create an idea is to start with a well-formed problem and then find a solution. However, we can think of it from another angle. Why not start with the solution? This sounds counterintuitive, but you can really innovate by doing so.
Can anyone innovate?
The answer is yes!
Most innovators would not admit it or are not aware of it, but they follow a pattern to create innovative ideas. Chance therefore has little or no place in the process of innovation. Many studies in psychology have shown that the creative potential lies in each of us; we just need to develop it more or less according to our personality. In fact, each individual has an extraordinary deposit of abilities, skills that have not yet been revealed to the world. In other words, every human being has something he can do well or do better than another. This is already a source of innovation. It’s up to you now, just start generating innovative ideas and adopting an innovative attitude.
“Your attitude will always determine what you will become in life”
Several methods, books, articles, etc. are now available to help us improve our inner creativity. In addition, certain traits of character such as humility, being down-to-earth, being conscientious, having a great interest in solving problems and appreciating diversity are necessary in our march towards the winning combination.
All the ingredients are put at our disposal to generate an innovative environment, they are largely … in us. To do so, we need to build a more dynamic climate and culture, focusing specifically on what constitutes our skills, abilities and capabilities. Above all, we must invest in ourselves, and in the business field, deploy the necessary means in the staff. The goal is to create value and a transformation of what we have experienced in what we can see differently, if we look for what we need, it will actually open up more opportunities for innovation.
